Influenster VoxBox Review!

Were you Naughty or Nice?

As you all know, I am a part of an online program called Influenster. If you are not sure what influenster is, please refer to the tab above to find out more about the program. This past Christmas, they were nice enough to send me their Jingle VoxBox for review. The box contains 9 products ranging from food to beauty products. These products were received complimentary of influenster for testing purposes. If you are interested in joining, click this link: www.influenster.com/r/698914

Just your friendly neighborhood Spider Man!…

The first very obvious product that you see when opening the box is a Spiderman Itty bitty. If you are not aware of what an itty bitty is, if you recall ever hearing, seeing or owning beanie babies, they are practically the same thing, just a different name. You can find them in all different characters such as Star Wars, Barbie, DC Comics, Rainbow Brite, Inside Out and many more. So pick your poison! These start at $6.95 and are available at any Hallmark Gold Crown store and Hallmark.com. They make great stocking stuffers and can be given as a gift all year round.

Feeling a bit Dry? Then Moisturize!

The next item is a small sample of Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream is a rich, quickly absorbing, non-greasy cream that provides long-lasting relief for even severely dry skin. This unique formula attracts water to skin and helps prevent moisture loss. I have friends that live by this cream. I was so excited to see this. I have a newborn at home and she has been struggling with some baby rash that just does not seem to want to go away. Her doctor since recommended using Cetaphil to help and since receiving this product I’ve been using it and seeing a lot of improvement. This product ranges from $8.99-$15.99. Now I know that is a bit pricey but I would say that this item is worth the price. It is as good as they say.

Dark Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Whoever said too much chocolate was bad? Check out this recipe. Chocolate have never tasted so good!

I found this recipe on youtube and just tweaked it a little. It is still one great recipe so do not hesitate on trying it out.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 1/4 Cups of Flour

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1/2 tsp. Salt

1/2 Cinnamon

2 Sticks of Butter (@room temperature)

3/4 cups White Sugar

3/4 cups packed Brown Sugar

2 Eggs

1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

3 cups of Old Fashioned Oats

1 2/3 cups of Dark Chocolate Chips

What to do:

Pre-heat your oven at 375. Combine all the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Set aside while you work on the wet ingredients.  In a large mixing bowl, combine both white ad dark sugar with the sticks of butter. Beat until the butter and sugars are incorporated together. Add the eggs one at a time and the vanilla extract as you continue to incorporate all the wet ingredients.  Beat the wet ingredients together until you get a light smooth textured mixture. Once this is done, add the flour mixture to your wet ingredients in small batches and beat together until everything is combined well. Add the oats and the chocolate chips and mix well, or until all the ingredients are combined.  You will need to switch to a wooden spoon to finish the mixing process.

Spoon heaping rounds of batter on a non-greased baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes or until the corners are brown. Let cookies sit for 2 minutes before removing them.  Place baked cookies on a cookie rack so that they can continue to cool.  Continue this process until all the batter is gone.

*Make sure you wipe off the baking sheet after each use or else your cookies will stick.

I prefer to use all organic or natural farm fresh products in all of my recipes. I think it is the healiest thing for your body.  You can find all of these ingredients at your local Co-op or Grocery store in the Natural section. If you are not able to do this, by all means use what you can get your hands on, but please do not miss out on this recipe.
